Class 6 / 7 News

Class 6/7 have been studying the religion of Islam and in particular the festival of Ramadan and Eid. The children presented a wonderful assembly to share what they had learnt with the school and made some lovely Muslim snacks to share with the school. The class also visited the Mosque and enjoyed their visit.

This term we have been studying The Royal Mile. The class have been on lots of outings linked to this topic. They have visitied Holyrodd Palace, as you can see in the photos, and also the Scottish Parliament, St Giles Cathedral, Huntly House, The Peoples Story and just the Royal Mile in general to see all the historic buildings.

We really enjoyed our visit to Holyrood Palace and had a special snack of posh cucumber sandwiches when we were there. We even got to visit a royal bedroom!

We are now moving on to study Our Solar system and have begun looking at the planets. We have made some lovely pictures of the Sun and will be making pictures of all the planets. We also made pictures of our solar system

Dynamic Earth
We went to dynamic earth and I saw the planets and space. Then we went in the time machine then we looked at things and we saw the ice. Then we went to the jungle and we saw the animals. Then we went to the future.

I went to dynamic earth. We went on the time machine. We saw the rainforrest with lizards sticking their tongues out.
